Being three floors up provides the company of the trees, but having a stable platform to stand on is critical. Prior to the renovation, the existing balcony was so unstable that the patio doors were blocked to ensure that no one would accidentally step outside and fall through. The street side of the house had an area that was wide open to the adjacent road, making it also unsafe for children. Raully Jones Construction created the foundation and support structure for a large wrap-around outdoor living space that was installed by a partner deck design company. Raully Jones Construction also replaced and enlarged all of the exterior doors and windows to create a feeling of being up in the trees no matter where you are in the home. A yard and protective fence were installed in the front of the home, where the children can also now safely play.
